Celebrity Gifts - A Timeline

The 21st century is undoubtedly the age of celebrity. You can't go anywhere without tripping over someone who's featured in Heat magazine. This obsession isn't an entirely new phenomenon though. Looking back over the last 100 years shows up plenty of evidence of the beginnings of A-list culture.

And there behaviour wasn't that much different either. Extravagant and outlandish as we've come to expect and nowhere more so than in their buying and receiving of gifts...

We pulled out our fine tooth comb and dived headlong into the celebrity history of gift giving to see what we could unearth and the answer? Quite a lot. It seems that the act of buying weird and wonderful gifts has been something of a staple for the rich and famous.
