Javed Akhtar Creator of Zanjeer

 Javed Akhtar has his kind of image in Bollywood. He is a great poet and writer. He, along with Salim Khan,  father of actor Salman Khan, created stories for many blockbuster films like Zanjeer and Sholay. Their screen name was Javed-Akhtar.

Born on 17 January 1945 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, He has received Padma Vibhushan for his outstanding contribution for Indian cinema and literature.

Now Zanjeer remake is big news for Telugu audience because Meag Power Star Ram Charan Teja is the lead actor. Salim-Javed started their writing career with Andaaz. Later they wrote for many films like Adhikar, Seetha aur Geetha, Yadonki baaraat, Zanjeer (1973), Deewar, Sholay, Don, Trishul, Meri Jung, Mr India etc. Almost all of them were mega hits at the box office.

Now the remake of Zanjeer to has the story of the same writer-duo. But the screenplay will be changed.

Javed has received national awards as a lyric writer for her lyrics in Border, Refugee, Lagaan etc.

Actress and activist Shabana Azmi is his wife. After taking divorce from his first wife, Javed married Shabana. He strongly condemned the recent hate speech of Akbaruddin Owaisi.
