Pirates of the Caribbean Gains $800 Millions Globally

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has crossed $800 million mark in worldwide box office on Monday. Now, trade analysts believe that Johnny Depp starrer could ultimately cross $1 billion in total grosses. With a total collection of $ 807 million, the new part of the Pirates series has become the biggest film of the year.

On Stranger Tides reported $ 614.9 million in foreign markets in three weeks.

The film is expected to surpass the $ 654 million earned by threequel pirates of the Caribbean: At World's end by this weekend. The trade analyst said it could eventually earn $750 million overseas.

However, the performance of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is not good for the market. This film is probably to be the lowest grossing Pirates movie domestically.

It has earned $192.1 million so far. Box office observers believe that the movie will earn maximum of $250 million, while the previous three installments collected of $300 million.
