"Transformers" hottie Megan Fox will host the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 26, reports Life&Style.com. And it's also the iconic pop culture comedy show's 35th season.

Will this pretty face prove herself a comedic force? We think so.

If nothing else, it will definitely make people want to see her teen horror comedy, "Jennifer's Body," that will already be in theaters. It opens on Sept 18.

It's also being reported that she is currently filming a digital short with SNL star Andy Samberg.

Michael Lohan is about to go all former commander-in-chief on someone's, well, you know, vowing to track down the "evildoers" responsible for breaking into his daughter's Hollywood home over the weekend.

Here's hoping his mission ends up accomplished.

According to the patriarch, Team Lohan is bringing in some hired hands to discover whose sticky fingers burgled Lindsay Lohan's house. Per Michael, it's not only the second time in three months that LiLo has been burglarized—it's also going to be the last.

"I am coming into town to work with private investigators in order to gather evidence which will be turned over to LAPD and the detectives assigned to the case," Lohan told E! News.

"This time, these evildoers will be caught."

And with Papa Lohan on the case, no one seems to have higher hopes for swift justice than, well, Papa Lohan himself, who apparently is both mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore.

"If we are fortunate, we just might find out who the culprits were from the other thefts as well," he said.

"My children are not going to be subject to violations of this or any kind any longer. Especially when they always give to others, and it seems some of these very individuals are the ones behind these crimes.

"Dina and I are finished with this nonsense."

Evildoers, consider yourselves warned.

Michael Jackson memorabilia tour approved

AEG Live will exhibit the pop star's belongings in three cities

LOS ANGELES - A judge on Friday firmly approved a deal between Michael Jackson's estate and a concert promoter to exhibit his memorabilia, praising the arrangement that the singer's mother had fought in court over her concerns that it could harm his legacy and wasn't competitively bid.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff approved the deal that's expected to earn Jackson's estate up to $6 million, saying after four hours of mostly closed-door testimony that there was "no question in my mind this agreement is in the best interest of the estate."

Beckloff noted the lack of a reasonable alternative presented by Katherine Jackson's attorneys, alluding to a mention made in court of a company starting up in the Middle East that might be able to handle the exhibitions

"The most foolhardy thing the administrators could do is connect with some startup company from the Middle East," he said.

The show will open in London's 02 Arena, where Jackson was set to kick off his "This is It" tour this summer.

"I think everybody is going to be thrilled with the results," said John Norman, president and CEO of the exhibit's promoter, AEG Live-owned Arts and Exhibitions International. "It will be great to celebrate this man's legacy."

AEG Live, the company that was preparing Jackson's 50-concert comeback tour when he died June 25, plans to open the exhibit around the Oct. 28 release of a film using footage of the singer's final rehearsals. Attorneys for Katherine Jackson had tried to block the deal, arguing it should have been competitively bid, and that the estate should have a larger cut of the proceeds than the 50-50 split negotiated with AEG.

John Schreiber, an attorney for Katherine Jackson, suggested there was no need to hurry or conduct "a fire sale" of the memorabilia. But the judge chided his "hyperbole about rushing to judgment and fire sale and giving away the store" as inappropriate, and said he was convinced the negotiations were above board.

Meg Lodise, an attorney appointed to represent the interests of Jackson's three children, agreed that the deal was in the best interests of the youngsters, who are entitled to 40 percent of their father's estate. Katherine Jackson is the beneficiary of another 40 percent, with 20 percent going to unnamed charities.

Norman said the memorabilia exhibition calls for a three-city tour spread over two years that would stay four to six months in each city. He said he didn't know what would be included in the exhibit, but that there were warehouses of material to select from, including items from Jackson's Neverland Ranch and the "This is It" shows. The selection process would begin on Monday, he said.

Mother still feels deal coule be improved
AEG attorney Kathy Jorrie noted in closing arguments that AEG has gone from being a potential creditor to Jackson's estate with millions of dollars in claims to becoming a partner in its success. She said some of the costs of Jackson's public memorial at the Staples Center are factored into the agreement, but that the exact amounts are confidential.

Burt Levitch, one of Katherine Jackson's attorneys, said he hoped AEG would show sensitivity in how it portrays Jackson. The contract approved Friday requires the promoter to collaborate with the administrators of Jackson's estate, but Katherine Jackson may not have a formal say in how it is crafted.

"Mrs. Jackson still feels there are certain aspects of the AEG deal that could have been improved upon," Levitch said.

Katherine Jackson's attorneys have also filed a motion seeking Beckloff's permission to contest the ability of attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain — who were named as co-executors in Jackson's will — to administer her son's estate. A hearing on that motion is scheduled for September.

While the hearing was going on in downtown Los Angeles, Drug Enforcement Administration agents were raiding a pharmacy in Beverly Hills that had sued Jackson in January of 2007, claiming the singer owed more than $100,000 for prescription drugs (the matter was quickly resolved). Agents were seeking evidence of improper dispensing of controlled substances in conjunction with the investigation into the singer's death, and took at least one box of records from the Mickey Fine Pharmacy & Grill.

'Inglourious Basterds'' secret Oscar campaign strategy

Source: Los Angeles Times

Surely, the question has occurred to you: Why isn't Oscar-mad Harvey Weinstein releasing "Inglourious Basterds" in Oscar-friendly November or December? Doesn't he have faith that "Inglourious Basterds" can run the derby? Hey, Quentin Tarantino proved himself in 1994 when "Pulp Fiction" was nominated for best picture and Tarantino won best screenplay.

Inglourious basterds news brad pitt quentin tarantino

Last year, Harvey held back "The Reader" to the last possible stretch, giving it a limited opening in Los Angeles and New York in December, then wide release in January. The strategy paid off with five Academy Award nominations -- including a surprise bid (to some, not us) for best picture -- resulting in the Big Win at Long Last for Kate Winslet as best actress.

Answer: Harvey plans to reserve that last-minute, ambush strategy he employed for "The Reader" for his other major Oscar pony, "Nine," Rob Marshall's adaptation of the Tony-winning musical starring Penelope Cruz, Daniel Day-Lewis and Marion Cotillard. For "Inglourious Basterds," he plans to use the "Crash" campaign model.

By releasing "Inglourious Basterds" in theaters now, Harvey can give the flick a second wave of ballyhoo when the DVD comes out late this year. Because the DVD will be a mass release, it won't need to be watermarked with numerals identifying each disc with the name of an academy member or other award voter. That's one of the sneaky ways "Crash" beat front-runner "Brokeback Mountain" for best picture of 2005 -- Lionsgate blitzed Hollywood with more than 120,000 cheap DVDs.

To manufacture and ship a watermarked DVD costs about $20. The cost for a non-watermarked equivalent: $5.

Beware, Hollywood. Given how red rivers flow in Tarantino pix, the town will be engulfed in a blood tide this December when Harvey unleashes his "Inglourious Basterds" DVD campaign. It will probably pay off with two Academy Award nominations: best screenplay (Tarantino) and supporting actor (Christoph Waltz). Maybe more. "Pulp Fiction" got nommed for best picture when there were only five slots; this year there will be twice as many.

WHO ORDERED THE TURKEY? Lindsay Lohan frets at a Little Italy deli while trying to retrieve her BlackBerry from a skeptical worker.

He really pushed her buttons.

Lindsay Lohan went ballistic on a deli worker who, unaware of her fame, made her jump through hoops to get back a cellphone she had left in his Little Italy shop.

The drama queen was so angry, she called cops to help get back her BlackBerry, which she had forgotten on the counter of Mott Corner Deli on Kenmare Street after tossing a $5 bill at the worker for a 50-cent cup of ice.

Mohamed Hashan, 27, said he noticed the phone at 7:15 p.m. Thursday and hurried outside to find its owner.

He saw Lohan get into a cab and asked her if the phone was hers. She answered "yes," according to Hashan, who said he was unaware of her celebrity status.

"If this is your phone, then have one of your friends call it," he said.

Lohan's pals -- stylist Patrick Aufdenkamp and an unidentified woman -- tried dialing the cell, but the calls didn't connect.

"Lohan started cursing at me. She then made a grab for her phone," Hashan said.

She started "laughing, crying and yelling" when Hashan told her to come into the store so they could review security video.

"She said, 'Don't you know who I am?' " he said. "I told her no. I didn't care who she was."

Cops gave her the phone back after viewing its stored photos.

"We appreciate New York City's Finest coming to Lindsay's rescue and assisting her in retrieving her BlackBerry," said Lohan pal Mike Heller.

Kate Major goes off on Jon Gosselin's 'bachelor romp' and outright lies, feels sorry for Hailey

Source: New York Daily News - Olivia Smith

Former Star magazine reporter and spurned Jon Gosselin mistress Kate Major aired her grievances against the Octodad on CBS' 'The Early Show' on Friday.

In case this wasn't obvious, Jon Gosselin is on "some bachelor romp or whatever you want to call it," his ex-fling Kate Major told CBS' "The Early Show" on Friday.

And just to add credibility to that apt assessment by Major, a former Star magazine reporter, rival gossip mag Life & Style came out with exclusive photos of the "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star at a low-lit club where they reported he was visited by a constant stream of ladies Tuesday night.

Current girlfriend Hailey Glassman was nowhere to be seen when the Goss was lapping up VIP treatment at a club called Shrine in theFoxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., on the night of August 18.

"Jon showed up at Shrine, where he ordered bottles of Grey Goose vodka. He only allowed girls over to his table the whole night, and there were a lot of them," said a source for the magazine.

"It's a very sexy, dark kind of nightclub after 11 o'clock. It's Asian-themed, so there's a lot red and couches everywhere. He had a blast," said the spy, who also reported that the soon-to-be divorced Dad stayed until last call, at 1 a.m.

Later that week Major continued to milk her 10 minutes and counting in the spotlight with a glum confessional on "The Early Show."

She accused Gosselin of outright lies and false promises that sparked her decision to leave her job as a reporter and embark on a new life with the Octodad.

She detailed the beginning of their 12-day affair, saying it all began when they went to dinner together after she went to Pennsylvania to cover the story of his split from the mother of his 8 children, the Kate who still bears his last name.

"He invited me and then one thing just kind of lead to another," recalled the former scribe, who said things didn't really get intimate until they went to a house party where he held her hand. Later, they kissed in the car.

"I didn't look at it as a fling," she said, adding, "I wouldn't have gotten involved with him if I knew what the outcome would be."

When he later told her there was no way they could be together, given her profession as a journalist who was supposed to be covering him, she says he promised her a new job.

"I was supposed to work with him as his personal assistant as well as on other things he's working on."

CBS showed Major a clip of rival Glassman calling her "cuckoo, cuckoo," with a gesture and high-pitched voice to drive home the point.

But Major did not take the bait.

"This isn't about Hailey and I - this is about Jon and I," she said with the sober and wounded expression she wore throughout the interview. "I feel badly for her that she doesn't know the truth."

She continued, "He did not act like an adult, or a grown man, or a father. It's sad, I think the fame has just gone to his head and he's on some bachelor romp or whatever you want to call it - but you cannot treat people."

While some might love a ready-made opportunity to revel in the mudfest that is Gosselin's love life (he's also been linked to his kids' babysitter), they probably won't have a TV show to make it easy for them.

A rep for the production company behind "Divorced Dad's Club" said on Wednesday that rumors Gosselin would appear on the show are unfounded.

"We are developing a show about celebrity divorced dads, \[Jon's\] people got wind of it and called, but we know he's under contract withTLC," said the publicist for Endemol, the producers behind new reality series. "So there's no conversation taking place about Jon joining our show."
