Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown and others to perform at Vienna Jackson tribute

Last February, Brown got into an argument with girlfriendRihanna that turned violent, landing the singer in court and in trouble with the law.

In addition to Brown, Mary J. Blige, Akon, Natalie Cole, Sister Sledge, German boy band US5 and Angela Bassett, who once played Katherine Jackson in a TV biopic of the family, are set to attend. While the rumored likes of Whitney Houston and Madonna weren't among the names announced this morning, organizers insist the final lineup isn't set.

Separately, MTV announced Tuesday that Janet Jacksonwould help open Sunday's Video Music Awards in New York with a musical tribute to her brother.
